The Advantage Coast Programme will be delivered, by East Riding of Yorkshire Council, in partnership with Scarborough Borough Council, with this money being targeted at Bridlington and Scarborough, giving local organisations and businesses the opportunity to apply for project grants from the European Social Fund (ESF) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The purpose of the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) is to support development of private sector investments, job creation, business growth and enterprise.
The Advantage Coast programme has been awarded a total of £2,739,000 ERDF funding:
- Scarborough will receive £1,426,000
- Bridlington will receive £1,313,000
The purpose of European Social Fund (ESF) is to support development of skills for individuals and promote economic and social cohesion.
The Advantage Coast programme has been awarded a total of £4,220,000 ESF funding:
- Scarborough will receive £3,127,000
- Bridlington will receive £1,093,000
East Riding of Yorkshire Council and Scarborough Borough Council will make funds available for local groups, organisations and businesses to bid for through a 2 stage application process. Projects are expected to be meet the objectives set out in the Advantage Coast Local Development Strategy (LDS).
All applications will require an element of match funding – this varies depending on location and which fund you are applying to:
