Yorkshire in Business COVID-19 Response
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Yorkshire in Business (YiB) are implementing the ShopAppy.com scheme and they can support businesses to get involved as part of their Advantage Coast CLLD Programme.
Shopappy is an online marketplace that supports shopping locally, even if you have to stay at home. In normal circumstances it is a browsing tool with built in click and collect, however, due to COVID-19 the team have implemented a delivery solution. To see how this works please visit shopappy.com/Kendal
If you don’t have an eCommerce business already, this is an opportunity for you to make that step and keep your business trading during these troubling times.
If you do have eCommerce business already, please do take a look at how you can feature here and working together will help us market the whole of town in one place.
This is an opportunity for businesses to come together and support one another as online marketplace, and deliver what our customers need.
To get involved please follow these steps:
- go to shopappy.com/vendor
- Click on the green button at the bottom to register as a vendor
- Fill in your details and select the pay later button (The BID will be covering 1 years subscription or non-levy payers will get 3 months free)
- You will receive info and some videos to help get you started and if you have any problems you can email info@shopappy.com or contact YiB directly.
It is suggested you start by offering bundles or packs for instance:
A food parcel, craft pack, health care pack, reading pack, music pack, self-care pack, dinner date pack and a voucher for people to order as buy now, use later which may help you to get your loyal customers to support you as footfall and custom drops and gives us all something to look forward to buying or doing after the outbreak.
You are the experts in what you can offer, so think about what those in isolation might need, and offer this through our ShopAppy.com tool.
For help, contact info@shopappy.com
YiB will also be training their team to provide you with support using this tool.
Mentoring Matching Scheme:
Unfortunately YiB’s Monthly Coffee Meets have had to come to an end, however they understand that engaging with other businesses is vital for any business to grow and so they are still working hard to keep local businesses working together. Why not use this time to build or share your skills?
