Yorkshire Coast – Community Led Local Development – Call for funding
East Riding of Yorkshire Council acting as the Accountable body for Yorkshire Coast CLLD to provide grants across Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington.
The funding is to promote Employment and Enterprise initiatives across Scarborough (More Developed) and Bridlington (Transitional).
The fund is a combination of European Social Fund (ESF) and European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) money.
Yorkshire Coast CLLD Programme aims to:
- support business and enterprise growth,
- increase employment through supporting creation of new jobs
- to help those furthest from the labour market improve their employment opportunities by helping to improve skills and experience of unemployed people
Priority funding will be given projects with the aim to support unemployed residents to move them into Employment and Training in the Scarborough (More Developed) Area.
Grant funding available for this call.
- Scarborough ESF £740,000
- Scarborough ERDF £90,000
- Bridlington ESF £81,000
- Bridlington ERDF £95,000
All projects will need to provide match funding;
Scarborough (More Developed)
- 50% for potential ESF projects.
- 40% for ERDF projects.
Bridlington (Transitional)
- 40% for potential ESF projects.
- 30% for ERDF projects.
Successful applicants will need to show how they will help deliver the employment and enterprise outcomes and results of the Yorkshire Coast Local Development Strategy
Organisations must be eligible to apply for EU funds and support must target the 20% most deprived areas within the following wards:
- Bridlington Old Town
- Bridlington South
- Castle
- Central
- Eastfield
- Falsgrave Park
- North Bay
- Ramshill
- Woodlands

From this discussion you will be required complete an Expression of Interest Form (EOI) to outline your project ideas.
This will be appraised by the Accountable Body then review by the performance management group made up of members of the Local Community; if your project is eligible you will be asked to complete a Stage 2 full application.
Match funding does not have to be in place ahead of the expression of interest submission. It will need to be in place before Community Led Local Development funding approval.
Funding will only be confirmed after the Stage 2 application is approved by the Local Area Action Group.
