West Building Supplies are a local, family run builders merchants who have been around since 1971 and currently operate out of Bridlington.  The West BS Expansion project involves  a 1.34 acre development and includes a 12,500 sqft (1161m2) general builders merchant with warehouse in Eastfield.  The company already have many customers operating in the Scarborough and surrounding area who choose to source their materials from West BS so there is already a brand awareness.

This project will allow West BS to deliver a better, more efficient service for local trades as their needs can be serviced locally rather than from existing sites in Bridlington. The new build will supply a range of heavy and lightside building materials which trades require in order to do their day to day work. The site will also be staffed with fully trained and knowledgeable staff who can advise on suitable materials.

The project allows a local business the opportunity for expansion as well as improving the service provided to a range of businesses within Scarborough. It also provides a range of job opportunities for local people and provides wider benefits further down the chain to local and national suppliers.  West BS will also make links with the Scarborough Construction Skills village and offer benefits in supply for training and possible work placements for students.
