New Executive Group Chair Appointed
Following the news that Neil Watson had stepped down as Chair of the Advantage Coast CLLD Local Action Group (LAG) after serving as the Chair since the creation of the group in 2017, we are delighted to announce that Jennifer Crowther, Founder / CEO of Yorkshire in Business has been appointed to the role.
Jennifer worked within the Scarborough based Enterprise Agency Sector for 17 years. The Founder of Yorkshire in Business brand and service along the Yorkshire Coast she brings a wealth of knowledge of nurturing business success. She is successful at tendering for and delivering Government funded Enterprise Initiatives that support the economic growth locally, alongside first-hand experience of how the Enterprise Sector has evolved over the years. Jennifer also specialises in social Impact, governance and strategic planning for Charitable organisations as a trustee of Age UK Scarborough & District and Co-Founder of Fablab+.
An active member of the Executive Group since its creation in 2017, Jennifer will be supported by Elliot Hakner who will continue in his role as Vice Chair.
Upon appointment to the role of Chair, Jennifer said:
“I have been involved in CLLD since the start and have seen how so many different organisations and individuals have worked together to ensure the funding addresses the needs of local communities. I am pleased that I am able to now support the programme and East Riding Council further in this capacity at chair of the Executive group and support the programme to adapt throughout evolving COVID restrictions”
