Healthy Lives Project
Bridlington – ESF
Christ Church Community Services
Healthy Lives is a programme supporting participants for up to a year, providing support, training and qualifications. Participants access cooking sessions where they can improve their confidence, functional skills and kitchen skills. Participants can complete a qualification in Food Hygiene or Health and Safety and can also gain an Employability Skills Passport.
I.T is embedded in the programme completing on line training activities and learn how to create a C.V, fill in an on line application form, write letters, job search and use the internet generally. Volunteering is encouraged and learners can be signposted onto one of the existing Christ Church projects.
A highlight of the programme is a treat day involving the Land Train and access to Sewerby Hall and Gardens including cooking the in the Edwardian kitchen, the zoo and various art projects. During the programme learners gain confidence in themselves and their abilities and move forward more ready for the labour market.
